Searching for the ancestors of a Peter Eldridge, born March 1819 in Copenhagen Denmark, father’s name is John, mother’s name is unknown. Date of immigration to the United States is unknown, but had to be before 1854. Peter settled in Boston and worked in the shipping industry.

Hello relative! Have you had any luck tracing Peter’s family back to Denmark?
No luck at all. I found a few other people with about the same information, but nothing going back further than I had gotten.
I just recently obtained Peter’s naturalization papers. They have a different birth date for him (it is listed as March 29, 1822). He was naturalized in Boston in 1854, and it seems his address at the time was on a boat. Unfortunately it did not contain any names of parents or other clues other than re-confirming the birth in Denmark. I’d be happy to send you a copy if you like.
